Collected our gowns & suits from the bridal studio. Made up the final payment and got back our photo album & frames. They are really heavy, fortunately DC's mum & aunt were there to help us carry! :)
Back home, we continued with our unfinished work...

Wedding Prep I
Curtain man came to fix up the curtains in the morning.
In the afternoon, we went saloon for a hair trim.
Then, we went back home to prepare for the actual day's events.
Songs have been selected for the two march-ins. They are "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain and "I'm Falling for Someone"
What's left now is the slideshow.

Application of Visa
Dad & Mum drove me to the High Commission of India for the application of Visa. It was early morning 9:30am then. The submission of documents for Visa starts daily at 9:15am but I got a shock when I saw my queue number! It's No. 63! Huh? I was told by DC that there will be people going very early in the morning to get the queue number...so, it's true.
Among them, I spotted two malaysian ladies. We conversed a bit while waiting... They were there much later than me and their queue number was 79. Great! I have company.

Our Photo Poster is here!
Got the photo poster! It was ready on Friday... tried several times to arrange to meet TTL for it but we have no common time slot until today afternoon. I very buey paiseh, asked him to bring it over to my house.
At first we were a little worried because the resolution is not very high but hey, it turn out to be ok. Not super clear and sharp but not bad either.
Our families think that it was quite nice too... I'm so happy that I got this gift for free! I'm going to put it up on the X-stand during the wedding reception. Thanks TTL, for editing the image, sending it for print and delivering it to me!

We had dinner with our helpers at Plaza Singapura's Ajisen. Run through the draft schedule for the actual day with them and realised that we still have lots of things that needed to be done and time is fast ticking away!
1. Buffet lunch catering
2. Ang Bao Box for the dinner reception
3. Emcees
4. Music/Songs for march-in
5. Slideshow
And of course, Our Honeymoon!

Our Valentine's Day
The very first at the new place. Finally we can put the cove lights to good use. I find the ambience pretty good. Spent the whole afternoon going around doing last minute shopping for the flowers, aromatherapy jar, etc. Didn't have time to try cooking so I took the fast way out, ordered pizza. Fortunately, the wine was not bad, that probably made up for the food and we both think the sunflowers were pretty and cheerful!

In Quest of Good Music
The Vehement Quarrel
DC and I indulged in a heated altercation over the wedding on Saturday. He had been very edgy of late, maybe due to the tremendous stress he faced at work and at the wedding preparations. The wedding day is just around the corner but a lot of things seems to be still undone! For one, our honeymoon destination had not been decided yet. What's worst is that he has a paper (exam) to study for before the wedding! So, he couldn't possibly put his whole heart and soul in the wedding preparation.
We began bringing up all the unhappiness during our argument and soon it became so heated that we threatened each other to call off the wedding!
In the end, we got our family so worried that they kept asking us what happened. We were so sorry for the false alarm! We've patched up and are back as a happpy couple again.

Goa
DC saw a write up about Goa at the special section on "Love and Marriage" on Friday's Straits Times. The article read "Goa's gorgeous beaches make the perfect backdrop for a romantic holiday"... Seems a great idea to go there for our honeymoon. However, when I told my parents about it, they were quite skeptical... of all places why India? I think otherwise... it's a totally different environment and it'll be good to know more about India and immerse ourselves in their culture. I think we will enjoy ourselves there.
We have written to the local agents in India and are waiting to find out more details about Goa and how they can tailor the package to suit our budget and needs.

Honeymoon Hotspots
What a headache! Do you believe it? Our wedding is so near yet, we have not even booked our tour package yet! The worst thing is... We have no idea where to go!
Where are the honeymoon hotspots?
At first, we both wanted very much to visit Paris... However, after hearing about the riot there and learning from all those who have been there before (they did not seem to enjoy themselves there), hmmm... we decided to drop the idea of going there.
Our next choice is Bali. DC was very worried about the situation there. Several bombings had taken place previously and the place seems to be in a state of unrest. How to relax at rest there?
Then, we did some research in the Net and found a lot of recommendations for Krabi. It seems like a good beach resort for honeymoon. However, we don't really really feel like going Krabi!
Where else can we go?

Wedding Photos Collected
I was really surprised when I received my bridal boutique's call last Wed, which informed me that my wedding images are really for collection!
They had told us earlier that the images would not be out until 1 week before the wedding and we were so worried that the montage could not be out in time. What a false alarm!
Saw the finished design for our wedding album pages... we were very satisfied with the digital design except for a few touch-ups that we requested.
We showed the photos to our families immediately when we got home and were glad to know that they liked the pics. :)

We Found Our Main Photographer
We found our photographer finally! It was actually DC's brother's photographer, Sean. We saw the wedding photos that he took for DC's brother and quite like his style. So, we got his contact no. from the couple.
We admit that it was indeed quite late a time to start looking for a photographer and mentally prepared ourselves that he might already have other assignments on that day. Phew! We felt so blessed and relief to know that he had accepted to be our photographer!

Lo Hei

We had a late night Lo Hei at our house today. It was a DIY... radish and carrot slices prepared by my younger sis. Instead of the usual raw fish (生鱼), we had abalone (鲍鱼) for a change this year. One new idea sugguested by my bro-in-law is to add Martell into the 鱼生yusheng... and the end product is simply Yummy! Cheers to this year's Lo Hei! :D
My cute little nephew was present too. He did not understand why we were setting up the table and innocently asked his mother: "Mummy, what are you doing? Is it your birthday today?"
Then when he saw the abalone, he was curious and decided that he must try it. However, he spit it out almost immediately. We scolded him for being wasteful and told him that was 鲍鱼. Unconvinced that it was nice, he decided to give it another chance and requested for another one to try... a small one. This time, he did not throw it out but neither did he ask for more...

Preparation for the "Guo Da Li"
Wow! Never know there are so many things to prepare for this Sunday's Guo Da Li. My task list was drawn long ago by my mum... and the top priority is to get a red dragon and phoenix bedsheet. We thought this was an easy task but it was actually the toughest job of all! We went a lot of places to search for it but could not find any shops that sell it. :( DC managed to find it at Chinatown but it was not available in king size!!! All they have in king size was the mandarin ducks (鸳鸯) design. At last resort, we bought the ducks home thinking that if there is no dragon & phoenix, at least still have the ducks to 交差 haha.... In the end, my parents joined in the search for our bedsheet and found this shop at AMK. They have the mandarin ducks design there too. The shop assistant was kind enough to offer to go through their factory stock and asked them to come back on the next day. So, my parents made a 2nd trip there but they were disappointed to learn that the dragon and phoenix was not available at the shop either. It was on my parent's 3rd visit that they found a besheet really nice and suitable for the wedding (No dragon & phoenix but got the double happiness 双喜). I think it's beautiful! At long last!
Next on our list is the groom's pants... That was easy enough. We bought a pair of pants at G200 and that easily settles it.
Finally, it was our pyjamas. Mum bought two sexy nightgowns for me when we went shopping and that leaves DC to get his own! Surprising enough, we could not find any men's pyjamas at the nearby shops and at Seiyu... Hmmm... where else can we get it from? We had to turn to my mum for help as we find that we were really running out of time. Haha... so DC and I only managed accomplished 1 task out of 3. Thanks Mum & Dad for helping out! :D

Our Wedding Date is 25 Feb 2006!
Really have to give credit to Jianhao for pointing out a serious error on our website! Our wedding date is 25.02.2006 (NOT 25.06.2006!!!) The wedding site has been published for more than 2 months already... I wonder how DC and I could have missed out on this? Hee hee... Anyway, this was not the first time the wrong date was released... DC had accidentally informed all his friends via email that our big day was on 05 Feb 2006!?! Luckily he stated on the email that our wedding is on a Saturday & 05 Feb is a Sunday. We were so blessed to have observant people (like Yuchun) to verify with us on the date! I have to also thank God for letting me bump into DC's friend Kelvin in the canteen. It was through him that I learnt that Oops, DC did it again!
So folks, please note and remember that our Wedding Date is 25 Feb 2006! :D

It's Chinese New Year Again!
It's Chinese New Year again! The days really whizzed by unnoticeably especially for the past half year...
This CNY holds a special meaning for me... It's the LAST year I'm getting ang baos from the elders! Yes, I'm getting married soon and next year, I would be giving out ang baos the the 'young' ones.
Like last year, we went to my Ah Ma's house in the morning. I saw some cousins that I have not seen for a long time and Wow! My little cousin has grown up and she's now taller than me! Met some of the elder cousins there... it's a rare chance for us to get together and so I seized the chance to announce my upcoming wedding to them... Too bad the bridal cakes and invitation cards are not ready yet...it would be good if I could distribute to them today!
Next, we went a few places to visit DC's relatives. At his cousin's place, DC's cousin's gf commented that I have lost some weight...Lately I received several similar comments from my friends...Hmmm...have I really lost the weight? But how come I felt fatter instead? Anyway, I do feel good after hearing that remark! :P At his aunt's place, we did a "Lo Hei" and feast on the superb cooked food. The finale for today's celebration was the cocktail and dessert that we had after dinner... the choc cake was the best that I've ever tasted
and the Gin Tonic was the most bland drink I've ever had. For the whole day I've been eating and drinking(to our fill)...
I won't be surprised to find myself still full tomorrow.

Meeting up with the Hotel Coordinator
We met our hotel coordinator Michele to discuss the wedding details for the actual day. The session was much shorter than we had expected (which is good). We gave Michele our feedback on the food tasting and picked our choice of wedding favour. We had also selected the table cloth (Red for VIP tables and Gold for other tables), seat sash (Gold), wedding cake design (the Oval), the menu design and the flower arrangement, etc. The wedding favour and the flower arrangment are very unique and nice. No wonder DC loves them so much! :) We were able to make a selection easily, thanks to Michele's recommendation. So far so good, we are very satisfied with the service rendered by the hotel and the things that been arranged for the wedding. Let's hope that all is as smooth on the actual day!
